After the ball-tampering scandal which led to the removal of captaincy from Steve Smith, Test captain Tim Paine and Aaron Finch have been named as ODI and T20I captains of Australia. Paine will lead the ODI team in England, along with Finch as vice president for the series. Finch will be the captain of T20 series in England along with wicketkeeper Alex Keri as vice-captain for a one-off T20 match in England and a T20 tri-series in Zimbabwe.
